Staycation in London: The Boundary Experience

An End to Holiday Envy

You might have been finding yourself enviously looking at Instagram over the last few weeks as friends and colleagues post a steady stream of photos of their holidays.  It’s not easy to tap like when you’re trapped on a Central Line carriage at rush hour wondering, even though its August, whether you need to pack a jumper, umbrella and raincoat to go to the office.  However it’s important to remember that just out of shot in each of those perfectly composed images there are children on the rampage, there is sun burn – and let’s be honest some fairly questionable food – plus how do you capture in an image a truly atrocious exchange rate!

If you’re still feeling the blues however and feel in need of a break we’ve packaged together the ultimate ‘staycation’ treat and the best thing? You don’t even have to leave Zone 1.

This year our annual August Boundary Experience is better than ever.  We’re starting with a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne on the Boundary Rooftop over looking the City and Shoreditch (open rain or shine) and we’ve got plenty of blankets if it’s chilly (or you forgot your jumper).

We’re following that with a Ripailles.  For those without their phrase book (another thing you don’t need to worry about with this staycation) to hand ripailles means feast – and what a feast.  Chef and best-selling food writer Stéphane Reynaud is the man behind Tratra, the new modern bistro and wine bar occuping the lower ground floor at Boundary.

Ripailles is conveniently the name of one of Stéphane’s books and this month he’ll be showcasing some of the fabulous recipes, all accompanied by a bottle or two from the award winning wine list.  We reckon it’s as a good a meal as you’ll have in France this year.

After all that you’ll probably need a lie down and sleep.  Luckily we have 17 individually designed rooms and suites to choose from – all above your head.  So that’s all nice and easy too – the hard bit is which one to pick!

Whichever room you choose you’ll wake up feeling rested and restored and with the promise of fresh croissants, a full English or fruity granola and a pot of good coffee at Albion, our all day restaurant and shop on the ground floor – you’ll be set up nicely for the day ahead – be that some sightseeing, shopping, or simply going into work smug in the knowledge you’ve had the best value staycation out there.

All of that from £145pp this August at Boundary.

The Boundary Experience is available Tuesday to Saturdays until 2 September 2017 and price is dependant on choice of Boundary bedroom, studio or suite.  To book or for further information please email or call 0207 729 1051.
