“Come Sunday, the ground-floor brasserie serves up the tastiest of Sunday roasts in its light-flooded, modern dining room. Start with a glass of Champagne or a boozy bloody Mary to kick off lunch in a Shoreditch fashion. As for the roast, you’re spoilt for choice. There’s 35-day aged roast beef, free-range roast chicken, a veggie option which changes weekly and our favourite, the roast pork belly with crunchy crackling and plenty of apple sauce. Plates are piled high with all the trimmings – duck fat potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, fresh seasonal greens, the largest Yorkshire puddings, a side of cauliflower cheese and that all-important jug of gravy. Finish the afternoon with warm sticky toffee pudding.”
